The Argument for Long Travel Bikes - Opinion
"Big bikes exist for one simple reason - pushing limits."
My opinion is the confidence that a big bike inspires is well worth it. There have been plenty of times when I wouldn't have hit something had it not been for the confidence my big bike inspired. I could then come back and ride it on a smaller bike and gain those skills also.

One last thing, don't get stuck on what bike blah blah blah. Pick what you like and make sure you are having fun, that's really all that matters. Don't be scared to change up bikes/styles it will keep the skills fresh and well rounded. It's all 2 wheels don't worry about the size of the wheels or how much or little suspension it has. It's all fun. Ride Bikes!
